Boiling down the essence of elBulli’s work to 28 final elaborations was no easy task. In fact, between 1987 and the closure of elBulli as a restaurant on 30 July 2011, Ferran Adrià and his creative team created a total of 1,846 final elaborations. They were all catalogued in an immense published and digital collection, which has allowed us to measure the extent of elBulli’s impact on the world of cooking, which you can see during your visit to the interdisciplinary relationships room.

Organised in chronological order, this section offers a journey through some of elBulli’s most emblematic elaborations. They were chosen for their meaning and importance in fulfilling elBulli’s main mission of blazing trails that others could follow and explore the limits of an innovative fine-dining experience.
