Per a poder estudiar el tom\u00e0quet, hem de comen\u00e7ar per q\u00fcestionar-nos les paraules. Sabem qu\u00e8 significa la paraula tom\u00e0quet? D’on ve el terme? En l’\u00e0mbit cient\u00edfic, t\u00e9 la mateixa denominaci\u00f3 que a escala col\u00b7loquial? En aquest cap\u00edtol intentarem donar una certa llum sobre el concepte, des d’un punt de vista l\u00e8xic-sem\u00e0ntic, conceptual i comparatiu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Primer ens endinsarem en la complexa etimologia del terme per a veure despr\u00e9s la seva evoluci\u00f3 en la llengua castellana i arribar fins al significat que t\u00e9 avui, des de diferents perspectives: acad\u00e8mica, gastron\u00f2mica i bot\u00e0nica. Aquest cap\u00edtol presenta, tamb\u00e9, algunes de les seves denominacions a escala cient\u00edfic i col\u00b7loquial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aquestes designacions permeten donar uniformitat a totes les varietats existents en el mercat encara que, no obstant aix\u00f2, la majoria s\u00f3n molt diferents. Els tom\u00e0quets presenten diferents formes, grand\u00e0ries i colors. Tampoc \u00e9s el mateix un tom\u00e0quet per a un agricultor que per a un bot\u00e0nic o un cuiner.
