
In 1981, Juli Soler arrived at Cala Montjoi to take over the running of the restaurant. He was followed by Ferran Adrià, who arrived in 1984, and his brother Albert Adrià a year later, in 1985. The early days of the elBulli adventure ended in 1989, two years after Ferran Adrià became the solo head chef, determined to create his own style.
