Picasso is a source of inspiration for countless people, and Ferran Adrià is no exception. This phrase reflects Adrià's firm belief in the importance of cataloguing and analysing all his work at the helm of elBullirestaurante’s kitchen. This legacy can then be studied depth, both in the present and future.
It is not enough to know an artist’s works; you also have to know when he made them, why, how and under what circumstances.
Someday there will probably exist a science – let’s call it “the science of humankind” – which will attempt to go more deeply into human beings by way of the creative individual.
I often think about this science and I want to leave to posterity as complete a record as possible. That is why I date everything I do.
