In 2026, elBullifoundation begins a collaboration with Longer Tables Fund, the philanthropic organization established by chef José Andrés, with the aim of promoting education, training and knowledge sharing in the gastronomic restaurant sector.
Longer Tables Fund works towards a future in which food serves as a tool for social transformation. Through various initiatives, the organization supports educational projects, strengthens communities and helps train the next generation of professionals in the fields of food and gastronomy.
As part of this collaboration, 25 educational institutions from Catalonia have had the opportunity to visit elBulli1846, the elBullifoundation museum located in Cala Montjoi (Roses), through guided tours designed to introduce students to the history of elBullirestaurante, continue sharing the knowledge generated there, encourage curiosity and an innovative mindset among younger generations, and contribute to the development of future professionals in the gastronomic sector.
The initiative has brought together students from a wide range of educational backgrounds and levels, from upper secondary education and vocational training to universities, business schools and institutions specializing in gastronomy, sommelier training and viticulture.
Thanks to the support of Longer Tables Fund, participants have enjoyed an educational experience that, in addition to the guided museum tour, included a meal and a book and T-shirt to take home as mementos of the visit. This initiative aims to facilitate access to knowledge and offer future professionals a learning experience connected to one of the most influential chapters in the history of contemporary gastronomy.
This collaboration stems from the close relationship between Ferran Adrià and José Andrés and their shared belief in the importance of education as a driver of transformation.
