DIÁLOGOS: COLABORACIÓN ENTRE TORRONS VICENS, FERRAN ADRIÀ Y GASTÓN ACURIO

On 3 October, Torrons Vicens presents DIÁLOGOS, a gastronomic and charitable project jointly created by Ferran Adrià, Gastón Acurio and Ángel Velasco, exploring the encounter between Peruvian and Mediterranean gastronomic cultures through one of the most emblematic products of Catalan tradition: turrón.

The initiative stems from the friendship between Ferran Adrià and Gastón Acurio and their shared belief in the importance of creativity, knowledge and cultural exchange in the evolution of gastronomy. Together with Ángel Velasco and the master turrón makers of Agramunt, the project seeks to reinterpret the turrón-making tradition by combining ingredients, techniques and flavours from both regions.

The result is an exclusive collection of three original creations —Mint and Chocolate, Quinoa and Neuletes, and Coffee and Passion— combining ingredients such as Peruvian cocoa, quinoa, ají panca and passion fruit with Mediterranean products including extra virgin olive oil, hazelnuts, lemon and mint. The collection is presented in a special gift box that includes a knife designed by Luki Huber and a booklet exploring the origins of the project, its ingredients and the suggested tasting experience.

Beyond its gastronomic dimension, DIÁLOGOS has a strong social commitment. All profits from the sale of the collection will be devoted entirely to funding university scholarships through elBullifoundation and Fundación Pachacútec, with the aim of creating new educational opportunities and supporting the development of young talent.

This collaboration is closely aligned with one of elBullifoundation’s main objectives: to foster knowledge, creativity and innovation, recognising gastronomy as a tool for cultural and social transformation. The project demonstrates how dialogue between different gastronomic cultures can generate new creative ideas while also contributing to the education of future generations.

The project is dedicated to Ángel Velasco Pérez, a master turrón maker and a key figure in the recent history of Torrons Vicens, whose knowledge, passion for his craft and respect for tradition have been instrumental in preserving Agramunt’s turrón-making heritage and carrying it into the future.
